\"books<\/a>Thank you for visiting my blog at http:\/\/www.chistell.com<\/a>!\u00a0 To tell you a little about me, I’m blessed to always be “Mom” to a wonderful son. I’m also a full-time writer who has experience creating first-person stories, feature interviews and content for newspapers, magazines, websites, major corporations and radio. How long have I been writing? Longer than 30 years; you better believe I love <\/em>to write! It’s one of my favorite communication forms.<\/p>\n

In addition to writing for small businesses, major corporations and media outlets, I’ve written several page-turning novels, including Portia<\/span>, Love Has Many Faces<\/span>, Spiral<\/span>, Rosetta\u2019s New Action Adventure<\/span>, Long Walk Up<\/span> and Love Pour Over Me<\/span>, Escaping Toward Freedom<\/span>, Gada’s Glory<\/span> and Rosetta The Talent Show Queen<\/span>. I’m currently working on my 21st and 22nd books (did I really say that). <\/em>The working titles for my next books are “Gregory The Lionhearted” and “Gada’s Glory”. The latter is a story set in Chicago, Illinois in the 1940s. Gada’s got spunk; I think that’s why I was drawn to her!<\/p>\n

Places where my work has been published include Madame Noire, The Network Journal, New Citizen’s Press, Black Market, Emerge, Nubian Moms, Urban Source, Essence, Obsidian, The Pittsburgh Quarterly and America Online. Directories and publications I’ve been blessed to appear in include Parade<\/em>, Who\u2019s Who, 100 Most Admired African American Women<\/em> and Crosswalk<\/em>.\u00a0 To complement my writing, I love to speak publicly. Some of the places I’ve spoken at are Emory University, Merrill Lynch, Spelman College and the College of Philadelphia.
