Shirley "Cha-Cha" Muldowney!(I grew up going to drag races with my brothers, sister and my dad. My dad used to race an Austin Healy. People always said the car's engine was too small for him to win, but win he did -- time and time and time and time and again. He'd take us on the drag strip with him. We'd pour bleach behind the car's tires, then watch while he spun his tires until they smoked! Then we'd watch the Christmas Tree go all the way to GREEN and watch my dad go toward another win! That's how I found out about Shirley. I grew up LOVIN' drag racing. I still do! If you talk women and drag racing, you HAVE to talk about Shirley!!! She's a pioneer!
